Over the last year, we have had the pleasure of multiplying the Mailroom staff and growing the family. In July we opened a second location in Greenville SC and we couldn't be more proud of the incredible work our staff is doing in the upstate.
In this interview, you will meet one of the talented members the Greenville staff and get to know a little more about her. We hope you enjoy!
Meet Brooke Lau
What is your favorite product to use when styling your client’s hair?
Matte clay pomade
How long have you been doing hair?
4 years total but I've been specifically focusing on shorter hair/ men's specific haircuts for about 2 years now.
What’s your favorite thing about cutting/doing someone’s hair?
My favorite thing would probably be just getting to talk to them and get to know them, where they're from, what they do, etc.
What is a new trend or style you see developing?
It's not really new but it's a steady trend; a lot of my clients are moving toward the effortless messy look.
What’s your favorite style to create?
I've really started to enjoy scissor cuts lately, they just have such a nice flow to them.
What’s something your clients may not know about you that you’d like to share?
I love to cook! I cook at home for breakfast and dinner almost every night of the week. I don't like going out to restaurants and having to wait.
If you were a type of beer, what brew would you be and why?
I'm not sure but I love Pale Ales.
What makes you feel fully alive? A hobby, a moment? Maybe you have a memory of a time you felt that way. Maybe it’s a mood.
Singing in the car with my daughter is the best. Especially in the summertime, we roll down all the windows. It's the best and we do it every morning on the way to school
What’s your spirit animal?
A Jack Russel because I can't be still and I never stop talking!
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to in 2019?
Settling in. 2018 was just full of change and moving, so I'm hoping 2019 will be the year of finding my groove.
If we looked at your iTunes frequently played playlist, which songs would be in your top 5?
I Just Can't Wait to Be King- Lion King
Colors of the Wind- Pocahontas
Poor Unfortunate Souls- Little Mermaid
The Middle- Zedd
Wagon Wheel- Darius Rucker
(my daughter rules the song selections)
