The Mailroom has grown tremendously over this past year and our team is growing too! We would like you to get to know us a little better, so we're taking some time to share more about one of our staff with you! In this interview, we'd like you to meet our studio manager, Molly Norton!
What is your favorite product to use when styling your client’s hair? I’d have to say Verb’s Ghost Oil- it works great on everyone’s hair and makes your hair feel super smooth and shiny.
How long have you been doing hair? Since I graduated hair school in April of 2010.
What’s your favorite thing about cutting/doing someone’s hair? I love knowing that I’m helping someone feel the best about themselves, and helping them see themselves more beautifully.
What is a new trend or style you see developing? I’m seeing more blondes embrace a “warmer” or “gold” tone vs. every blonde wanting to be ash or grey toned. It’s such a nice change!
What’s your favorite style to create? I love blondes- there are so many tones you can create with blonde hair that it’s never boring, and so many different techniques to use to create different looks.
What’s something your clients may not know about you that you’d like to share? I’m actually a very introverted, anxious person- working with the public was something I was (and still get) nervous about on a daily basis!
If you were a type of beer, what brew would you be and why? I’m actually allergic to beer, so I’d probably be a sweeter cider.
What makes you feel fully alive? A hobby, a moment? I’d have to say anytime I’ve gone to concerts of bands/artists that mean a lot to me have been the moments that make me feel fully alive. This past summer was an overwhelmingly amazing summer for concerts for me- I got to see Jack White for the first time two days in a row with my best friends in Washington, DC and that was pretty life changing. I still can’t believe it happened.
What’s your spirit animal? My rescue Boston terrier, Twiggy
Where are you from? Florence, SC
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to in 2019? Becoming a mom for the first time in May! It’s something my husband and I have wanted for a while and we are so excited to be lucky enough to get to be parents.
If we looked at your iTunes frequently played playlist, which songs would be in your top 5? Candy Paint - Post Malone, Kiwi - Harry Styles, Sixteen Saltines - Jack White , The Man - The Killers, and Pop Thieves - Childish Gambino
Next time you're in to see us stop by and say hello to Molly!
